My Simple 6-Step Sketching Routine | Clean, Light & Watercolor-Ready

In this short video, I’m sharing my simple 6-step sketching routine — an easy process I use to create clean, light drawings that are ready for watercolor. Materials used: 2H or H pencil – a light, hard pencil for clean “whisper lines” 2B – for clearer structure and selected details, when needed Mechanical pencil (0.5 mm) – a great alternative to 2B for tiny details A good regular eraser – choose one that doesn’t damage the paper Kneaded eraser – for lifting lines gently, perfect before watercolor Soft, large brush – to remove eraser crumbs, not your fingers One sheet of copy paper – to protect your drawing from smudges A good sharpener – one that keeps a clean point without “chewing” the pencil. If you’ve been curious about the materials I use, I’ve also put together a full art supply list for watercolor and sketching: https://klh-art.dk/art-supply-guide.
