I made a junk journal spread using snail mail I received from my friend in the Philippines! Each little piece felt so vintage and beautiful. And the most surprising part—she even included scraps from a Korean book! I was so amazed and touched by that, haha. There were so many pretty things inside, but I didn’t want to use them all at once. I want to treasure them and save them carefully to use little by little 🥹 It was my very first snail mail that traveled across the ocean, and it felt so magical and exciting. I just love how pure and wholesome this hobby is—making friends in such a gentle way, collecting little paper treasures, and sending them across the world to someone far away. When I was little, I could make friends with anyone, even someone just passing by. But as I grew older, with work and life, I became more cautious, more guarded, and less open to showing my true self to strangers. Through snail mail, though, I feel like I’ve found a space where I can connect without that kind of stress. It makes me so happy. Anyway, while journaling today and looking at each piece my friend sent, I just felt so joyful and thankful. #펜팔 #penpal
