Thus We showed Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth so that he might be of the believers. 76. When night fell upon him, he saw a star and said, "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said, "I do not love those that set." 77. When he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my Lord." But when it set, he said, "Indeed, if my Lord had not guided me, I would have been of the misguided people." 78. When he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my Lord, this is greater than all." But when it set, he said, "O my people! I am far from what you associate with Allah." 79. "I have turned my face completely towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth from nothing, and I am no longer one of those who associate partners with Allah." 80. His people argued with him, and he said to them, "Do you argue with me about Allah, when He has guided me? I do not fear those whom you associate with Him, except what my Lord wills. My Lord encompasses all things with His knowledge. Do you not reflect?" 81. "You do not fear associating partners with Allah, when He has sent down no evidence for it, so how can I fear those whom you associate with Him?" Tell me, if you know, which of these two groups is more worthy of security? 82. Those who believe and do not mix their faith with injustice... For them is security, and for them is the one who is guided. Surah Al-Anbiya 51-70: 51. And indeed, We gave Abraham the ability to distinguish right from wrong before. And We already knew him. 52. And he said to his father and his people, "What are these idols that you worship?" 53. They said, "We found our fathers worshiping them." 54. Abraham said, "Indeed, you and your forefathers are in manifest error." 55. They said, "Have you brought us the truth, or are you mocking us?" 56. Abraham said, "No! Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Creator of them, and I am a witness to this." 57. By Allah, I will surely set a trap for your idols after you have turned away. 58. Then he smashed them to pieces, leaving one of the largest among them, so that perhaps they might turn to him. (4) 59. They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is one of the wrongdoers." 60. Some of them said, "We have heard that a young man named Abraham has been slandering them." 61. Others said, "Then bring him before the people, and perhaps they will testify." 62. When Abraham came, they said, "Did you do this to our gods, O Abraham?" 63. He said, "No! It was done by their elder. Ask them if they can speak!" 64. Then they turned to one another and said, "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers." 65. Then they returned to their former beliefs and stubbornness and said, "You know that these will not speak." 66. Abraham said, "Then will you worship besides Allah things that can neither benefit you nor harm you?" 67. "Woe to you and to those whom you worship besides Allah! Will you not then come to your senses?" 68. (Some of them) said, "If you are going to do anything, then burn it and help your gods." 69. We said, "O Fire! Be cool and peaceful to Abraham." 70.
