JORNADAS DE AGROECOLOGÍA IMPULSA UCEDA

AGROECOLOGY WORKSHOPS Last weekend, June 6th and 7th, we held the first organic farming training workshops in our municipality. These workshops were created to provide basic and practical knowledge to users of the municipal garden project and to all residents interested in agroecology. During Saturday's session, we learned how to best design our garden plots; what we can do to maintain healthy, nutrient-rich soil; what types of fertilizers we can use; and what techniques are most suitable for controlling pests in a completely organic way. On Sunday morning, we saw how to put all this knowledge into practice at the facilities of Tómate La Huerta, the organization responsible for all the training content. With this initiative, we aim to raise awareness of the benefits of organic farming and expand the educational opportunities available to our residents, connecting it to the local area and our natural heritage.
