Prawning fishing session (Brisbane river ) 6th june

Tonight we’re out prawning land-based in the Brisbane River chasing another cracking feed of prawns but this time, I’ve brought a mate along for the action! This time of year is absolute prime time. With the prawns moving and abundant in the river system, the big predators are on the hunt. It’s the perfect excuse to throw a line out and let it soak while you gather the bait. You’ve got a massive chance of hooking into Jewfish, flatties, tailor, threadfin, grunter, or a nice squire. Talk about a bonus night! Not only did we get into the prawns but the rods came alive too. I managed to land a Jewfish it was just undersized, so it swam away to fight another day and backed it up with a beautiful, keeper sized flathead! It’s been a while since I’ve had a feed of fresh flattie, so that’s dinner sorted. Nothing beats prawning and catching a quality feed of fish all at once! 🍤🎣
