Stagecoach Supertrams Sheffield - 30/01/2020

Filmed on 30/01/2020. Afer a good time on with the trainspotting it was time to cover some of the parts of the Stagecoach Supertrams based in Sheffield. (Season 7 Episode 4) Firstly we catch a tram to Malin Bridge which is one of several park and ride sights around Sheffield on its original fleet of trams the Siemenes- Duewag. A total of 25 of these units were bult for the prupose for light rail/supertram running. These units was introduced in 1994. From Malin Bridge we walked back towards Hillsborough which can change for the yellow line tram services to Middlewood Park and Ride and also to Meadowhall. We get a few trams spotting of trams arriving and departing to their destinations. At Hillsborough, we catch a Stagecoach Supertram which is repainted into its original colours to ride to Hyde Park via Sheffield City Centre. A smooth jounrey and quite a fast ride to Hyde Park. We then walked alongside the tram line to the Cricket Inn Road. This is where the class 399 trams in other words the tram train services joins its main Stagecoach Supertram routes linking from Rotherham Parkgate to Cathedral.
