On Thursday, June 25, 2026, the end of the complete road closure following the major fire on Martinistraße in Bremen was in sight. The road had been closed near the press building since Monday, after the roof of a nearby commercial building went up in flames. The firefighting efforts lasted for hours, and in the following days, the fire department had to repeatedly extinguish smoldering embers. The damage is estimated to be in the millions.
