Citico by Brad Leftwich & the Humdingers, 1992
Key of G. Brad Leftwich-fiddle, Randy Marmouze-clawhammer banjo, Bob Herring-guitar, Linda Higginbotham-banjo uke, Dirk Powell-bass. Inspired by the playing of one of Brad's fiddle heroes, John Dykes who called it Cotton-eyed Joe and recorded it with Dykes Magic City Trio in 1927. The Humdingers recorded it at home and included it on the only release of the original Humdingers, the 1992 cassette tape "First Take." It was later remastered and reissued by Ray Alden on the 2005 CD "The Humdingers." Photo by Margie Van Auken.
