This trip to Hualien and Taitung ended in Taitung. Driving south along the coastline, I took in the breathtaking scenery of Sanxiantai and Xiaoyeliu; At a chance stop in the small town of Chenggong, I enjoyed a seemingly simple yet incredibly special local meal.
