[ESPECIAL] Linha Caqui: UM NOVO OÁSIS EM SÃO PAULO | Parque Tarsila do Amaral – Vila Jaguara

What if a former industrial area in Vila Jaguara were transformed into one of the largest and most important urban parks in the West Zone of São Paulo? The Tarsila do Amaral Park is a proposal for urban, environmental, cultural, and economic transformation of an area of ​​approximately 500,000 m², connecting nature, leisure, mobility, art, tourism, and sustainable real estate development. The project envisions a large tropical park integrated into the future public transportation network, with access close to the Cândido Portinari–Jaguara and Mutinga stations, as well as spaces such as a central lake, urban bathing area, sports areas, themed gardens, bike paths, cultural pavilions, cafes, viewpoints, and public facilities. More than just creating a leisure area, the proposal seeks to: recover an underutilized industrial area; increase the presence of green areas in the region; improve the quality of life of the population; enhance Vila Jaguara, Vila Piauí, and nearby neighborhoods; create new urban and environmental connections; Prepare the region for the arrival of high-capacity transportation; Transform the West Zone into a benchmark for urbanism, culture, and sustainability. And most importantly, preserve the two remaining springs of water in the Tietê River. This video does not present an official project of the São Paulo City Hall. It is an independent conceptual proposal, created to stimulate public debate and show the potential for transformation of the region. The idea is to bring together residents, urban planners, city councilors, state representatives, the City Hall, the State Government, companies, and civil society organizations around a discussion: Why does the West Zone still not have a large public park worthy of its population and its importance to São Paulo outside the expanded center?
