MARBATTAL SERE (FULL MOVIE) MANDAILING FILM Synopsis In a village, there lived a poor young man with his mother. He had no steady job, while his mother was a casual laborer in the community's rice fields. One day, while he was fishing, a robber he was chasing threw a gold bar into the valley where he was fishing. The robber managed to escape, but when he returned to the spot where he had thrown the gold, he couldn't find it. The young man then took the gold bar home and told his mother. She was shocked to see the gold bar her son had brought. However, instead of being happy, she told him to return the gold to its original place. After various reasons, the young man finally persuaded his mother to keep the gold for a while until the owner was found and returned it. Afterward, nothing changed in the young man's life. He remained the butt of ridicule among the community. The gold bar he had found some time ago was only used as a pillow; his mother wouldn't allow it to be sold. He often tried to persuade his mother to sell the gold bars, but she was an idealist and devoutly religious. She wasn't even tempted to sell them, believing they belonged to someone else, not them! The unemployed young man actually had a girlfriend. However, because he lacked a steady job, his future in-laws disapproved of their relationship. Furthermore, it turned out that another young man, a wealthy man, also liked her daughter. Her in-laws preferred the wealthy young man, especially since he was adept at winning her heart. Hurt by his future in-laws' insult, the young man repeatedly tried to persuade his mother to sell the gold bars. He would use the proceeds to propose to his girlfriend.
