Face recognition done by Raspberry Pi 5 with HAILO 8L HAT
This is a brief overview of the process of face detection and recognition using a pocket-sized computer, such as the Raspberry Pi 5. The presentation begins with a demo video featuring an empty database of known individuals. During this session, the best image of a person captured by the camera is stored, which is later used to identify the person to whom it belongs. This marks the creation of our initial training dataset, which was employed to train the Raspberry Pi to recognize these individuals. The learning process is also discussed and is quite efficient. Afterward, the same video is replayed, and the system correctly recognizes all the individuals except for one.
