Honolulu District Change of Command 2026

The Honolulu District welcomed its 75th commander, Lt. Col. Lamar Cantelou, during a change of command ceremony at Palm Circle on Fort Shafter, July 2, 2026. The ceremony was hosted by Brig. Gen. Joseph C. “Clete” Goetz, commanding general of the Pacific Ocean Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Cantelou assumed command from Lt. Col. Adrian Biggerstaff, who has led the district since July 2024. As commander and district engineer Cantelou will now oversee a 320+ workforce of engineers, scientists and support staff delivering a complex program across five time zones and more than 12 million square miles, bringing premier engineering and construction solutions to our Nation’s toughest challenges in the Pacific.
