Harike Pattan: The Sutlej Files is a documentary produced by Auzar TV, documenting the memorial gathering held at Harike Pattan on the banks of the Sutlej River. The event brought together numerous families who state that they lost relatives during the period from 1984 to 1995, along with survivors, Sikh representatives, and human rights advocates. Throughout the documentary, affected families share their personal accounts, stating that many of their loved ones disappeared and that they have never received official information regarding their fate or the opportunity to perform their final religious rites. During the gathering, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, led an Ardas in memory of those whom participants regard as martyrs. The documentary also examines allegations made by victims' families and human rights campaigners regarding enforced disappearances, alleged extrajudicial killings, and the reported disposal of bodies in the Sutlej River during Punjab's militancy period. It further presents long-standing allegations surrounding the abduction, torture, and killing of Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra, whose work documenting unidentified cremations became internationally known. This documentary is based on interviews, eyewitness testimonies, family narratives, publicly discussed historical events, and the claims of human rights activists.
