What's it like to live in a place like this? In this video, we explore Villa Lago Meliquina, a hidden gem of Patagonia where nature, silence, and daily life set a different pace. We stayed at the Cinco Sentidos inn and tea house, where Yose and Mau welcomed us to a carefully curated, warm space with open views of Lake Meliquina and the mountains. We toured their rooms, shared artisanal tea with homemade pastries, and visited the vegetable garden that complements the inn's offerings. At sunset, around the fire, we toasted with artisanal vermouth from San Martín de los Andes and enjoyed a charcuterie board prepared by Silvina, a local resident, in a simple and authentic moment. The next morning, the day began with a leisurely breakfast at the tea house as the sky cleared and the landscape brightened. Then we set out to explore Villa Meliquina, visited the information center, and walked along a trail that led us to a stream surrounded by forest. We continue towards the lake shore and stop at Parador Meliquina, a relaxed bar, before finally ending our tour on the beach, with some of the best views of the lake. This video isn't about whether Meliquina is better or worse, but rather about showing what life is like in one of the most peaceful places in Patagonia.
