Kerry Pirate Radio 1988 WRKY Rocky 103 Part 1

Go back in time to 1988 in Kerry and Limerick when local radio was at its peak and Rocky 103 FM WRKY was the most exciting thing going on. For about 25 minutes (in 2 parts) relive and listen to the professional clutter free stereo sound and jingles that were the hallmarks of this station. The included slideshow may also bring back memories of this era. I have many more hours of cassette recordings from 1983 onwards, including Horizon Radio, Kingdom 102, Southwest Radio, Kerry Local Radio, WCR, Radio Vera, and from 1989 onwards, Century Radio, RLO, etc. To me radio radio went downhill after 1988 and the memories of pirate radio in Kerry during the 1980s are etched in my brain as well as scattered across about fifteen 90 minutes cassette tapes. This 2 part series is an scoped (edited) extraction from just from one side of a C90 cassette tape. I will try but can't promise to work on getting the other tapes on to youtube. I'm sure some of you would like to hear Mike Donovan again, or Basil Hendrix, Alan Brown, Mike Moriarty on Southwest radio... or Sean Hurley, Terry Doyle, etc. on Kingdom 102... Or Mike Richardson, Benny Keane, Steve Maroney, etc. on Horizon Radio or Rocky 103. Got all the Horizon and Kingdom 102 jingles as well. If anyone knows information about he transmitter power, antenna locations and audio chain technical info for these stations to fill in the missing blanks from 25 years ago, I would be extremely indebted.
