[ENG] Lazenca, Save Us - Hyunwoo Ha of Guckkasten (with English subtitles)

31st Jan 2016 was the day that "Dream of a fresh water eel" and "Lazenca, Save us" were aired on TV and this episode of King of the Masked Singers has become one of the legendary episodes of the program. It was also the day that I personally became interested in the singer Hyunwoo Ha and started listening to Guckkasten's music, eventually getting myself trapped deeply in the band's charming musical labyrinth. As most of the fans would know already, "Lazenca, Save us" is a song by N.EX.T (short for New Experiment Team), a band that late Haechul Shin(Crom) led in 1990s. N.EX.T released their 4th album in 1996, which was an original soundtrack for an animation "Lazenca, The Soul Frame", and "Lazenca, Save Us" is one of the songs from that album. The original song was rather opera-like with choirs singing the chorus part. Hyunwoo had made an excellent arrangement of the original piece so that it was not awkward at all to have one person sing the whole song without the massive choir.
