The main commercial hub is The Guineas Shopping Centre, a centrally located retail space that houses a variety of well-known high street stores. A prominent feature of the town is its bustling street market, which has been a staple for over 800 years and takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offering a range of goods, including crafts and street food. For those seeking larger retail options, the Studlands Shopping Park, located on the outskirts of town, provides a selection of big-box stores. The High Street itself is a vibrant area with an eclectic mix of shops, from bespoke boutiques and independent businesses to familiar chains, with many of the buildings showcasing beautiful architecture. The town is internationally renowned as the historic heart of horseracing, and this identity is central to its main tourist attractions.
