Travis Orbin - Darkest Hour - "Perpetual Terminal" & "Societal Bile"

Four new tunes were presented to me, prompting a scrambling of arrangement charting and visceral demoing. Then, I'd listen to the demos critically, and further analyze and refine via Guitar Pro—essentially, a condensed version of our customary process. I suppose I was prepared as well as can be, as I tracked the entire record in a single day (discounting the previous day for setup and achieving tones). Woop woop! My video productions are purposefully non-laborious, but I further did not want to encumber this session with my full assemblage of cameras, so I threw 2/4 of my GoPros up and let it rip. Chances are that you are not new here, but just in case: this is not a 'playthrough', but the actual studio/tracking session. What follows is a gear list for the entire record, save for a few tracks wherein I used my 6.5"x14" Sensitone brass snare: 18"x20" Pearl Vision bass drum nestled inside of a 24" maple kick 6.5"x14" Pearl Reference brass snare drum 13" and 16" Pearl Reference Pure toms Cymbals are listed here, under "Darkest Hour setup": http://travisorbin.com/equipment.htm (the only exception being the 13" A Custom Mastersound hats, in which I used 13" A New Beat hats). 'Perpetual | Terminal' will see a release on 23FEB24, and we're embarking on a full US tour (plus 4 CA dates) shortly after.
