Hiking Humphreys Peak - Highest in Arizona!

Humphreys Peak is the highest natural point and the second most prominent peak after Mount Graham in Arizona, with an elevation of 12,633' feet and is located within the Kachina Peaks Wilderness in the Coconino National Forest, about 11 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. One of a handful of peaks that make up the San Francisco Peaks. The trailhead is located at the base of Arizona Snowbowl, offering plenty of day use parking. There are a couple of additional trails that can be accessed from this parking lot including the "Aspen Loop" trail, a much easier (and beautiful) loop through the pine & aspen forest.
