Trading Strategy Analysis with Van Tharp’s SQN (System Quality Number)

The System Quality Number (SQN) can be calculated using Van Tharp's R-Multiple and Expectancy metrics. This helps to measure the quality of a trading strategy, but in addition, provides insight into how easy it will be to trade that strategy. The video shows you how to calculate the SQN but also starts to explore the concept of using SQN to measure the performance of parameter values in an optimization. The SQN metric also takes into account the number of trades, to adjust the metric for statistical significance.
