Rick difende con forza Amber dalla furia di Brooke

1999. Rick is growing increasingly attached to his baby, Eric III, and is becoming comfortable with the role of father, even though he is only seventeen. What he doesn't know is that the baby is actually the son of Amber's cousin, replaced after birth by Amber and her mother Tawny because the newborn died soon after. Rick, however, knows that Amber lied to him about the initial uncertainty of the baby's paternity (Amber had also had intimate relations with Raymond, an African-American singer). Rick has forgiven Amber, certain from the evidence of the newborn's skin color that the child is his and that Amber regrets having kept this situation from him for so long. He intends to build a family with Amber, who seems sincerely in love with him, and with Little Eric. Brooke, however, is on a war footing. She cannot tolerate Amber and Tawny being a part of Rick's life. She is convinced that Amber is just a cunning exploiter, that her son must get rid of her and run towards his true love, whom he had to give up because of Amber's pregnancy: Kimberly.
