Dating back to the 5th century, the eastern half of the mound has been carefully restored, with rows of Haniwa (clay figures) surrounding it. 🏯 About Umami Kyuryo Park Umami Kyuryo Park is a public park located in Nara Prefecture, Japan — easily accessible yet largely unknown to international visitors. What makes this park truly special is its unique combination: a beautifully maintained flower garden built upon ancient burial mounds (Kofun) dating back over 1,500 years. 🎉 FREE admission — open to everyone! 📍 Kita-Katsuragi-gun, Nara, Japan 🚃 Approx. 1 hour from Osaka Namba via Kintetsu Railway → Goidō Station (D23) then Nara Kotsu Bus No.43 from Bus Stop No.4 → Direct to Umami Kyuryo Park entrance 💳 Suica accepted 💡 Tip: Goidō Station (D23) + Bus No.43 from Stop No.4 is the most convenient route — the bus drops you right at the park entrance! 🍙 Food & Tips Restaurants near the park are limited. Our recommendation: stop at the FamilyMart right next to Goidō Station (D23) ticket gate and grab a bento box, onigiri, and drinks before heading to the park! ⚠️ Please note: There are no trash bins inside the park. Please take all rubbish home with you.
