The engine oil and filter should be changed every 5,000 kilometers to maintain engine protection and lubrication, preventing premature wear. First, loosen the oil cap located on the engine. Remove the oil pan plug and drain the engine oil, collecting it in a large container. Let it drip for about 10 minutes to completely empty the engine pan. Clean the cap and replace it carefully, tightening it properly. Be careful not to screw it in crookedly. Carefully remove the old filter to prevent its contents from spilling. Install the new filter, applying a little oil to the rubber seal of the new filter with your finger; hand-tighten it is sufficient. Add new oil until the dipstick shows oil between the minimum and maximum marks. Start the engine for about 30 seconds, then turn it off and check the oil level on the dipstick again. Refill the oil if it has dropped significantly. If the engine is consuming oil, it's best to leave the level near the maximum.
