Resilienz: 7x hinfallen und 8x aufstehen | Michael Okada | TEDxKlotzsche
What can we learn about resilience from German-Japanese wisdom? Michael reinterprets DNA: D for gratitude, N for avoiding negativity, and A for getting back up after every fall. He inspires with personal stories and practical tips on how to rise even stronger after every fall. Michael was born and raised in Berlin; his mother is from Thuringia, and his father is from Yokohama, Japan. He is known as an expert on intercultural insights into Germany and Japan, positive lifestyles with East Asian influences, value systems, and a special mindfulness, using the Japanese tea ceremony as a guide for interpersonal relationships. The samurai code of conduct, Bushido, forms the basis of his business leadership—leadership based on values of cooperation and respect, values that are timeless. "Living with two sometimes so contrasting cultures is a great privilege. It has been very enriching for my life, especially in sales and then in self-employment," says Michael. For many years, his professional work has connected the German and Japanese worlds. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
