Cycling the Tunnel Hill Bike Trail in Southern Illinois
This summer, I'm going to hit some trails. My favorite rail-trail near my home in southern Illinois is the Tunnel Hill trail, a 45 mile trail from Harrisburg to Karnak. It goes through part of the Shawnee forest in the uplands and then down to the wetlands in the bottoms south of Vienna. Vienna also happens to be the Bicycling Capital of Illinois. So ride with me as I explore the scenery and wildlife along Illinois' best rail-trail at Tunnel Hill.
