1600 Watts in the Off Season??? | 27th Petrone Turkey Day Race
Thanksgiving miles hit different. The 27th Annual Turkey Day Race, hosted by Charles Petrone—my longtime trainer from my football days—started out pretty casual. Lots of laughs, easy wheels, and that familiar holiday vibe. Then… about 2,000 meters to go, the gloves came off. A sneaky attack forced me to drop a 1600-watt bomb just to get back on terms. Thought that might be it—but nope. Another move went, and this time it took a sustained 1500-watt effort to shut it down, take the lead, and ride it all the way to the line. No turkey trot here—just fireworks, watts, and a Thanksgiving victory. 🥇 Short race. Big effort. Happy Thanksgiving.
