Discussing Dapsone

About the Event Dapsone is a sulfur-based drug originally used to treat leprosy. It has been adopted for treating Lyme disease because of its anti-inflammatory qualities, ability to attack persister cells, penetration into the central nervous system, as well as increasing patient’s immune responses. Dr. Horowitz has been on the cutting edge of adopting this therapy for use in treating tick-borne diseases. In 2020, Dr. Horowitz published an in vivo study outlining the efficacy of his Double Dapsone protocol on a patient population. They also published an in virto study on intracellular uses of the drug. In this study, they proved that dapsone is effective against persistent forms of the disease. He plans to publish an additional study on his expanded Quad Dapsone protocol later this month, right before the event takes place. Ali Moresco completed Dr. Horowtiz’s Dapsone therapy earlier this year, making her the perfect person to join this panel with him.
