Bohinj, Slovenia | Lake Bohinj, Vogel, Triglav Views & Mostnica Gorge 4K

Bohinj is one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia, surrounded by the Julian Alps, clear mountain water, forests, and peaceful alpine landscapes. This journey begins at Lake Bohinj, a calm and spacious lake where the mountains reflect in the water, fish swim peacefully, and in the summer you can swim in the lake — even though the water can still feel a little chilly. From there, we went up to Vogel by cable car, where the view opens into the high mountain world of the Julian Alps. From Vogel, you can also see Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain, rising to 2,864 meters. The name Triglav means “three-headed,” and the mountain carries a strong symbolic presence in Slovenia. Very close to Lake Bohinj, you can also find Mostnica Gorge, where clear water moves through narrow stone passages, forest, and small waterfalls. The gorge is known for its emerald water, carved rock formations, Devil’s Bridge, and the famous little “elephant” rock shaped by the flow of water over time. We didn’t visit Savica Waterfall on this journey, but I highly recommend visiting it if you have time. It is one of the most well-known waterfalls near Bohinj, about 78 meters high, fed by water from the Triglav Lakes Valley. Filmed in 4K for a high-quality viewing experience.
