Luton Station 2/8/23

Luton Station is located on the Midland Mainline between London St Pancras and Leicester Services here are operated by both Thameslink and also East Midlands Railway. Thameslink services operate a few times a hour towards Bedford and even more regularly towards St Pancras, Three Bridges and onto Brighton some services also terminate at various locations across London. All Thameslink services are operated with Class 700 Electric Multiple Units Long Distance Intercity East Midlands Railway services call here fairly regularly during the day, these services heading either towards St Pancras or towards Nottingham or Sheffield. These services are now operated using Class 222 Diesel multiple units however not so long ago these were operated also by Class 43 High Speed Trains and Class 180 Diesel Multiple Units. Local East Midland Railway "Connect" services also call here now on a half hourly basis towards London St Pancras or towards Corby, all EMR Connect services are operated with Class 360 Electric Multiple Units cascaded from Greater Anglia.
