We went to the Cerro Negro workshops in Madrid, Spain, and started up the MAN 592 power cars after being idle for four months in winter. The cars, which had been returned by the Comboios de Portugal after being leased to RENFE, were already on their way to scrap. They passed through the hands of Chema Martin and me, giving them a few more minutes of running time.
