Dialogue (Part 1 & 2) - Chicago - Bass Cover - Request
Hello :) This is the requested transcription I did of the Chicago song "Dialogue (Part 1 & 2)" from their 1972 album Chicago V. The bass player on this track was Peter Cetera . This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs subject. Thank you for this request, I'd never heard this Chicago song before. Holy Cow is it ever a busy line! Peter Cetera...haha, the guy could play! Some of his rhythms are just insane. Such a rhythmical player...wow! What can one say about this bass line. There's so much going on here. It's a 16th note/rhythmic extravaganza...haha, it's not for the faint of heart :) One thing I can say about Peter Cetera (besides his amazing rhythm, singing and song writing) he didn't play it safe. He took chances when he played and I think this is one of those songs that was a little different every time he played it. Try to keep calm not get too caught up in the energy of the song. Count and subdivide like you've never done before...and have fun with it :) It may take some time and that's okay. Don't be discouraged if you don't get it on the first 25 attempts...haha seriously ;) I hope you give it a try and enjoy it.
