A week in the student life of Ilse | Week in my life #1 | Universiteit Leiden

Student life looks different for everyone. In “A week in my life”, various students at Leiden University take viewers on a journey through a week in their lives. In this episode, it's Ilse's turn! Ilse is a third-year student in the Bachelor's programme in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at Leiden University, and she is currently busy writing her Bachelor's thesis. Ilse starts the week with a day at her internship at Leiden Global in the communication department. On Tuesday, it's time for a work meeting. Ilse works at Leiden University in the social media team. After that, she goes to the Faculty of Social Sciences in Leiden, where she has classes for her degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology. There, she talks to a number of other students at Leiden University. They are studying a course on medical anthropology. On Wednesday, she returns to the Faculty of Social Sciences to attend a course related to her thesis on cultural anthropology and development sociology. That afternoon, there is also a job market at another faculty of Leiden University. She goes to the Wijnhaven building in The Hague with a number of other students. Thursday is another day for work meetings, but student life also involves the occasional drink! In the evening, it's time to chill out and cook an easy and inexpensive student meal. On Friday, Ilse gives a room tour of her student room in The Hague, which she has decorated in her own unique style. In the evening, it's time to meet up with friends, have a drink and go out in The Hague. The Hague is close to the beach, and Ilse takes advantage of this on Saturday by eating a tasty snack on the beach. On Sunday, Ilse leaves for Rotterdam for the Rotterdam Marathon. After a busy week, it's time for her to continue working on her thesis for her degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology.
