Hello all. This is my first of a series of videos I'm making for Mooer's Gs1000. It's Mooer's flagship modeller / multi FX and overall it's very impressive. They sent the unit to me for free and I get to keep it but all opinions are my own. The GS1000 combines Mooer's already impressive am modelling and FX with their capture technology. So you can now capture your amps and gain pedals and reproduce your rig digitally. I don't cover that process in this video but I will be covering it in weeks to come. What I do in this video for the first time is get into amp captures in general. I have always been happy with the amp sounds I've been getting and didn't feel it necessary to get into captures but straight up I was wrong!! The quality and immediately satisfying nature of the JTM45 capture I downloaded from their cIoud was actually kind of overwhelming. So much so that I immediately went and got a deluxe reverb, and AC30 and a Plexi too. All of which brought the same immediate joy!! I am now officially a capture convert. Combine that with the pro level switching, great effects and the signal chain options and you have a compact super capable modeller here. Speaking of signal chains the capture tech requires a second input for a mic which actually turns this immediately into a fully funtional audio interface too. Very useful. But it's the two available independent signal chains that allows me to simultaneously run my PIezo and Mag pickups fro the one guitar simultaneously that really takes the biscuit. Just amazing functionality. I demonstrate this in the video.
