Nuovo dirigente alla Squadra Mobile: il Vice Questore Andrea Monaco subentra ad Annalisa Stefani

Effective today, July 1st, the leadership of the Flying Squad of the Syracuse Police Headquarters will be transferred to Deputy Police Commissioner Andrea Monaco, who will replace Dr. Annalisa Stefani, who has been transferred to the Flying Squad of the Trento Police Headquarters. Dr. Andrea Monaco, born in Vittoria (RG) in 1983, earned a law degree in 2008 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Rome "La Sapienza." In 2011, he was admitted to the two-year training course for commissioners at the Higher Police School in Rome. In December 2013, he was assigned to the Caltanissetta Police Headquarters, where he served as director of the Immigration Office. He subsequently held positions of responsibility at the Gela Police Station, the Niscemi Police Station, the Benevento Police Headquarters, and the Lentini and Vittoria police stations. Most recently, in March 2024, she took over the leadership of the Flying Squad of the Ragusa Police Headquarters, conducting numerous investigative activities and operations to combat organized crime, including arrests and detentions ordered by the judicial authorities, including in connection with widespread crime and drug trafficking. Deputy Police Commissioner Annalisa Stefani, who since April 2025 has achieved significant results in the fight against organized crime in the city and province, has completed several operations that have led to the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and numerous weapons, dealing a severe blow to local criminal organizations. The Commissioner extends his thanks to Dr. Stefani and wishes her continued success in her career, while Dr. Monaco is welcomed to the Syracuse Police Headquarters.
