V21-4 Bolt Limit States Example Problem
Do some calculations for all limit states for a bolted tension member in bearing. Yielding, fracture, and block shear are presented and then bearing, tearout, bolt shear, and spacing limitations are discussed in detail. Then combine all the answers to get the total resistance for the bolt limit states and then the final strength of the connection.
