Salted Egg Yolk Calamari | crispy fried squid in easy salted egg sauce
Today I’m making Salted Egg Yolk Squid. Crispy deep fried calamari squid tossed in a deliciously creamy, spicy and buttery salted egg yolk sauce. This is one of my favourite zi char dishes of all time. It's all about the salted egg yolk sauce which is super easy to make. -- Ingredients: Fried Calamari: 250g squid (about 3 small squids) seasoned with 1 tsp of salt and pepper 1 egg 4 tbsps corn flour Extra corn flour as frying coat Salted Egg Yolk Sauce: 4 Salted Egg Yolks Steamed and mashed 2 tbsps Butter 3 stalks of Curry Leaves 2 cloves chopped garlic 2 Thai Bird's Eye Chilis or Cili Padi (exclude for a non-spicy version) 1/2 cup of Evaporated Milk 1 tsp Sugar
