Harvesting Our Biggest Sweet Potato Bed EVER With My Daughter Pt. 1 In mid-October we harvested our 3'x32' raised sweet potato bed. This bed has been used to grow potatoes and squash in the past, but this was our first year attempting to grow sweet potatoes in this bed. We purchased the sweet potato slips for this bed from Tatorman.com, and have purchased slips from them in the past. The varieties we show in this video are beauregard sweet potatoes and centennial sweet potatoes. One of the things we have dealt with in the past is damage from voles, and this year is no different, even though we attempted to use a vole deterrent device, we still struggled with some damage; however, that wasn't the case through the entire harvest. As an added bonus our younger gardener in training decided she really wanted to help with the harvest, and to be honest, she seemed to pick out the biggest sweet potatoes every time!
