The Beauty World and Upper Bukit Timah area (where many Korean expatriates choose to reside in Singapore and where there are many Korean restaurants and businesses) is one of two main areas in Singapore that might be referred to as the Korea Town of Singapore (the other being Tanjong Pagar / Telok Ayer / Amoy Street area in the Central Business District, mainly known for Korean restaurants downtown). Bukit Timah Road is the main thoroughfare that cuts through the part of Singapore with one of the most expensive real estate comprising wealthy residential neighborhoods comprising expensive luxury condominiums for high earning expatriates and rich Singaporeans and good class bungalows for ultra high net worth individuals ( both old rich ( old money) and new rich ( new money ) / nouveau riche ) as well as prestigious schools and academic and cultural institutions such as Nanyang Girls' School, Hwa Chong International School, Hwa Chong Institution, National Junior College, Raffles Girls' Primary School, the Bukit Timah Campus of the National University of Singapore, Singapore Chinese Girls' School, Anglo-Chinese School and Alliance Française Singapour. Part of Bukit Timah Road also forms the north edge of the Singapore Botanic Gardens where Botanic Gardens MRT station can be found. There are several MRT stations that line up along Bukit Timah Road and which are shown in this video: Beauty World, King Albert Park, Sixth Avenue, Tan Kah Kee, Botanic Gardens, Stevens, Newton and Little India.
