Sekiro: Great Shinobi Owl Boss Battle (NG+; Charmless)

Ng+; Charmless Strategy: Fire and Deflect emphasis Fire was useful to lowering the health bar on this boss. If you don't try to use the flame vent, you're going to need perfect Deflect to beat this boss. For me, it took a lot of patience. He has a high defense and it was nearly impossible to get a good attack to affect him. Your best bet is when he launches 2 shuriken at you he will flip and attack with his blade in a blow from above. Best move is to move to the side and then attack him from the side or behind. At this point, what I tended to do was use the flame vent and living force to put him into a burn state that lowered both his health and posture. Then his second phase is somewhat the same, but instead of kicking you and launching shuriken at you, now he launches poison, which can make the fight a bit complicated. The best tool in this fight besides deflect and looking for openings for attacks is patience. This fight took a while but because the whole time, you're withholding yourself from attacking prematurely, takes a lot of focus to take down this boss.
