In 19th century Mexico, a young writer named Francisca discovers a strange Prince of the Spooks named Herneval who needs her writing expertise to save his world of monsters and fiction. She becomes the literal ghost writer Frankelda in order to help, but something else is plotting in the shadows. I Am Frankelda is available on HBO Max, but only in Mexico at the moment. Frankelda's Book of Spooks is available on HBO Max in all territories and with an English dub.
