Glioblastoma Treatment: From Diagnosis to Our Optune Gio Decision - Ep 1/5
Connect NOW: https://bit.ly/ConnectOptuneGio When you are told you have a mass in your head, everything changes, and finding the right glioblastoma treatment becomes the urgent mission of your life. A West Point graduate, a devoted husband, and a father of three, Chris received a diagnosis that changed everything. Married since 1991 and best friends through it all, Chris and Sue now navigate the realities of living with glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain tumor types known to medicine. When Chris was diagnosed with a glioblastoma primary brain tumor, he understood immediately what the glioblastoma prognosis meant. With a median survival of around 14 months following surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, the road ahead was clear, but he chose to face it on his own terms. Exploring available glioblastoma treatment option, Chris and his care team turned to Optune Gio, a device that uses tumor treating fields therapy to target and disrupt the growth of cancer cells. Unlike traditional approaches to glioblastoma treatement, tumor treating fields therapy works by generating precise electrical fields that exploit the differences between glioblastoma cells and healthy cells, offering a well-tolerated option that has demonstrated a meaningful survival benefit for newly diagnosed GBM patients. For Chris, Optune Gio is not just a medical decision. It is a source of empowerment and control during uncertainty. Understanding the GBM survival rate does not diminish Chris's resolve. It sharpens it. Every day becomes a deliberate choice: to stay positive and to pursue quality time with family and friends. For anyone navigating glioblastoma treatment, Chris's story offers a perspective that is both grounding and deeply moving. Important Safety Information What is Optune Gio® approved to treat?
