Russia and the War

In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, PSIA was pleased to welcome Vladimir Milov, a leading member of the Russian democratic opposition. An economist and energy expert, he analyzed Moscow’s military performance in Ukraine, and discussed the economic and political consequences for the Putin regime and for society. Vladimir Milov is a leading member of the Russian democratic opposition and a former deputy minister of Energy of Russia (2001-2002). He is an adviser to Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny. He is the co-author, with Boris Nemtsov et al., of Putin. Corruption (2011), and recently published Why Sino-Russian Economic Cooperation Is Not Working (Martens Centre for European Studies, 2021).
