Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok Review: Club Deluxe Room

This time we're at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok and are reviewing their Club Deluxe Room. This hotel has a long history, and before becoming Centara, it used to be Sofitel. Certain design elements in the room seem to be from that era. While the TV is new, the power ports are limited and the wireless speaker for your phone is designed to work with iPod or 1st generation iPhone. Nevertheless, the room is spacious and in a nice design. We especially like the working desk with a proper working chair nearby the window. But renovation would be appreciated to get some more power ports for charging your devices, and a better (softer) mattress would be much appreciated as well. While this room seems to be by design the same as the usual Deluxe Room, being Club Deluxe Room, it is located on a higher floor, and it also comes with top-floor Club lounge access. In the club, they serve mid-day soup, and afternoon tea as well as evening happy hours with selected drinks and snacks.
