Bordeaux Mégabus Widescreen
Filmed on a S-VHS camcorder with an Iscorama 2000 MC wide-screen lens. --------------------------------------------------------- Bordeaux had 11 of these 24.4m Renault Heuliez (Heuliez GX237) double articulated (bi-articulated) mégabuses. 10 were built in 1989, and 1 was the bus builder's 'demonstrator' vehicle. I think this dated from 1986 They could carry 220 passengers, of which 63 were seated. They were used on route No.7. In 2003 / 4 (different people quote different years) they were replaced by an electric tramway. This film was taken on 27th March 1992, the next day I took the TGV to Paris - look out for the YouTube films showing my TGV trip and of the Parisian métro + RER, which were filmed on the same visit to France.
