Intercepting a Tornado Warned & Severe Thunderstorm in Butler County PA

6/14/26 The atmosphere was volatile for the development of severe thunderstorms. All the ingredients were in place for the formation of storms. A strong line of storms moved through Ohio & into Western Pennsylvania causing a path of destruction. Strong winds & heavy rain were the primary hazards. Several tornado warnings were associated with this lune of storms. High dew points, sunshine, passage of a cold front, & wind shear a loft aided in thunderstorm development.
