Unboxing Eliphas Levi's Personal Tarot Deck. Published by Marco Benedetti Wow!

This video showcases the actual deck used by Eliphas Levi, including his hand written notations. When I asked Marcus Benedetti about the additional 22 cards, this is the message he sent me: "Well, the real problem is that it is not clear how this deck is conceived: a 78 card standard deck plus: a second series of 22 Majors? 8 alternative Majors plus a fifth suite of 14 cards? and in this case, are the 8 majors made by Lévi added to the 22, or do they replace them? Or 2 added - Sphinx and Melancholy - and 6 alternatives? Instinct tells me that it should be used with a layout that includes many cards, and the 22 additional cards used as crazy variables. But as a card reader I am really out of practice, I am not reliable. :-D" ~ Since both the Bernardin and the 6 replacement triumph cards all have notations, I'm inclined to agree with Marco and can infer that both sets were used. The set of 14 cards are from a deck of Spanish aluett (I have since learned). In time I might just use the Bernardin Suzanne itself, and maybe I'll use all of the cards to see what repeats itself. I'm not an occultist so I understand the meanings of the cards differently than Lévi had, so my interpretations would vary from Lévi's, but that wouldn't stop me from seeing what the deck has to say. Many, many thanks to Marco Benedetti for his commitment to tarot and his extraordinary decks.
