Different Cultures, One Thailand 🇹🇭

Thailand is home to people from many different cultures, backgrounds, and nationalities 🇹🇭❤️ In this interview, I speak with my friend Lizzy and her mother Leena about growing up between different cultures. Her mother is Thai–African American and grew up in Buriram in Isaan, while her father is Nigerian. We talk about identity, family, food, and why Thailand can be such a welcoming place for people from many different backgrounds. One beautiful thing about Thailand is how people from different races, religions, and cultures can often live together peacefully and happily. From local village life in Isaan to modern Bangkok city life, Thailand has a unique mix of tradition, kindness, and diversity. We also talk a lot about food 😋 Thai food is one of our favorite things about Thailand, especially som tam (papaya salad) 🌶️🥗 We compare local Isaan food with Nigerian and American food, discussing flavors, spices, cooking styles, and family traditions around eating together.
