Case Law Update 2023 April 18, 2023 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Although the last couple of terms of the United States Supreme Court have been relatively light on labor and employment law decisions, there have been some decisions that may have substantial impacts on the interests of employers and employees. In addition, the current 2022-23 Court term involve a number of cases that may result in decisions to which employers may need to respond. This discussion will explore recent and upcoming decisions of the Court and the impact that those decisions may have on employers, unions, and employees. Speaker Camille Hébert, Carter C. Kissell Professor of Law, is a member of the faculty of the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, where she teaches labor and employment law subjects, including Labor Law, Employment Discrimination, Employee Benefits, and a seminar on Sexual Harassment. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas Law School. After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk on the Tenth Circuit and practiced labor and employment law, representing management, for five years with Spencer, Fane, Britt & Browne in Kansas City, Missouri. She has written a number of books and article on issues of labor and employment law, including her treatise on Employee Privacy Law. She also writes on discrimination, including pregnancy discrimination and sexual harassment. Moderator Meeta Bass, COLERA President, and Arbitrator/Mediator
