During our stay in Hakuba, we loaded up the Brompton onto the Mini and went to the Sea of Japan to eat crabs. We happened to visit a fishing port there once before, a dreamlike world of 'crab parties' everywhere, with buckets full of crabs surrounded by couples, friends and family.
